About

Eileen Wiedbrauk is a writer, teacher and coffee addict.

She currently attends Western Michigan University where she is a MFA candidate in fiction writing.  She previously attended DePauw University in Indiana where she received a BA in English writing (fiction thesis).  After her relationship with coffee, Eileen also admits addiction to blog reading, internet forums, NaNoWriMo, and the ever brilliant Kenyon Review Writer’s Workshop.  In her spare time she is a reviewing editor for the online literary magazine Sotto Voce as well as reading and editing for Third Coast literary magazine.

Check out her charming – and amazingly witty – weblog Speak Coffee to Me.  She blogged for over two years under the alias “Speak Coffee” before revealing to the world her true identity.  This revelation was greeted with great spectacle and followed by even greater awe, and attended by many notables including Clark Kent, read more here.

The blog includes anecdotes, rants and occasional snippets of news from the fiction world and beyond, but mostly the blog houses notes on the craft of writing, living a writing life and reviews of  the stack of books on Eileen’s nightstand.

Want to win her heart?  Bring her snap dragons, dark chocolate, red wine and french bread that’s still warm.  If you bring her poetry you’ll have better luck with James Tate and Thomas Lux than Byron or Elliot.
